Just wanted to let my friends here know what became of me. I've been quite busy with some family matters for several days. Then last Friday was the start of my 5 evening work rotation. I have only been working 4 shifts in a row since last September and for some reason, that 5th day really wipes me out. The hospital has been incredibly busy and Monday was one of the worst shifts I've worked in a long time. We are getting a lot of influenza patients now and our unit was full and we had to take some swing beds from the "next door unit."
Today Liam and I are heading out to the coast to visit my granddaughter, Madison. It's the first time just the two of us have gone. I usually go by myself and then take all 3 grandkids during spring vacation and once in the summer for my granddaughter's birthday. Liam has been wavering between going and not going. He was all excited to go last night and then changed his mind. He woke up this morning, thinking he wouldn't go, then his mom offered to send him some money so he could take his cousin shopping. That was all it took and now he is running through the house yelling, "Road Trip!"
I have a few more things to get done and we will be leaving mid day. Madison will join us tomorrow morning at the hotel. It's usually warmer over there so I am looking forward to that.
I'm really sorry I am so behind in reading and commenting but just have not had the time to be here.
Hope everyone is doing well and ready for spring. I'm anxious to catch up on everything I've missed in the last week.

Relax, rest and enjoy. Have a safe trip!
If you want, I would love to send you the links of what I care about you reading so you can skip whatever is most recent (unless your curious), and when you get back you can catch up then. I think, at most, it might be two articles...LOL
hope you had a fun-time and enjoy your days.Have a safe trip and come back with great shots..
My granddaughter is to arrive around 8:30 tomorrow. Liam has been beside himself with excitement the whole way over here. He has so much he wants to tell her. I wish this hotel had the Disney channel or even Nickolodeon. It does have PBS which carries Liam's favorite show, "Word World." He wants to get Madison one of the animals from the show. They are made in the shape of letters and spell out their name. He already has the dog, cat, tiger and duck. The animal shapes (letters) are velcroed together and you can take them apart to spell other words. He is fascinated by them and insists we go buy Madison one right away tomorrow. Sure hope the Target store here carries them!
Watch out Wilma for that whole in the surfboard, dont want to fall through.
those precious children will keep you hopping/ and surfing... hehe...
love the comments and graphics by William.... haha... Blessings...

Thanks for the attractive pix, Bill. I've never tried surfing and most likely am not going to be doing that!
Liam and I made it home yesterday evening. He and Madison didn't want to part and both were crying and crying when it was time to go.
Blessings
I am fine and hope you had lot of fun with your family.
and thanks for your lovely Birthday Wishes on my Papa's article.
youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him.'
'If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you both to the electric chair.'
The roads were absolutely bare and dry, Norma. There is still a lot of snow at the pass but it's back from the road. I took a couple quick pictures of Liam up against one of the snow banks. Will have to see how they turned out. On the trip over, going down the west side of the pass, there was a signboard saying, "Stay in left lanes due to avalanche danger". Not too reassuring. I stayed in the far left lane and had a semi to my immediate right, thinking that would slow down any avalanche!
I'm so glad that you had this break and that you could unltch all your shackles and shout freedom.
I'm sorry about the shift work that's lying ahead. I'm going to send you some gnarled roots and and strange decayed objects. I promise you that if you feed them to your patients your ward will be empty the next day.
Look at me ...I'm 92 and I still dance.
Yes, I got home Sunday night, Sherrie. Back to the usual routine now. Have to go back to work on Saturday and I heard last night that our unit is still full! I was hoping everyone got well and went home!
Thanks for staying awake to leave me one last comment, Bill. Hope the rest of the week is better for you.
Wouldn't that be fun, Norma, to have a big get together? I have ALWAYS wanted a travel trailer.
A perpetual road trip sounds neat, Cecile!
You give so much of your time to us Wilma, if I had a job like yours I would just come home and collapse!
I know this is coming late but I hope you had an excellent road trip!
Have a great day.
among the living there.
I guess I could have a cup of something to keep me going!!
Know that you are in my prayers, stay healthy and happy please.
