The Message from Ohio and Texas

It's not over for Hillary Clinton. Last night, she won the primaries in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island, and says that she's back. But Barack Obama, still ahead with more delegates, is not giving up either.

Across the political aisle, John McCain finally sealed the deal on the Republican nomination and Mike Huckabee finally bowed out.

I will vote for the democratic candidate in November.
I think way too much is being made about the "Super Delegates" and that Clinton should drop out. The media have been reporting on the Brittany stories for so long that they don't know how to cover much without making it into a soap opera.

Clinton won all of a four delegate change in the delegate count. Not the victory being touted by the media, etc. and much at the behest of crossover votes from Republicans, that want Clinton much more than they want to face Obama. Don't fall for the spin, it was hardly a successful night for Clinton.

Texas Republicans believe John McCain can mop the floor with Hillary Clinton. Influential conservatives exhorted Republicans to turn out and vote for Hillary in the open primary for just that reason. I very badly want to know whether this was a significant factor in Clinton's narrow victory in the popular vote, particularly in light of her sound thumping in the follow-up caucus.
