I'm really tired and still not 100% but I wanted to provide everyone an update. I tried mightily to use Connie's (http://villageanne.gather.com/) 7-part shopping list. Unfortunately, the CVS I went to didn't have the right toothpaste OR toothbrushes in yet! My cart was just too full to try to rearrange the order of the purchases and I just didn't have the energy.
It's okay! I'll be going back this week to the CVS near my house that is a bigger one in a better location. The absolutely wonderful CVS employee who tried to help me out on Saturday advised me to do that in the future, as the store I visited was a bit older, and was smaller than my regular CVS. She said they're more likely to have more variety and availability of merchandise. (She felt so bad she let me use EVB's for all the Lypsyl's in a single transaction)
I won't go into extreme detail, but will give you general overview:
$106.00 | Full purchase price |
What I purchased:
1st transaction:
5 Lypsyl | Full purchase price Extra Bucks | 3 will go in (Easter baskets we're assembling at our church - we'll use the rest |
Next 3 transactions: 6 bottles CVS Vitamin C - B1G1 plus full purchase price Extra Bucks | 4 will be donated to local clinic
Final Transaction: 3 packs Peeps (best price in town!) | For my kids (adult children!!!!) Easter baskets
2 boxes Special K Protein Bars on special - B1G1 ½ off - plus I had a coupon
A&W Root beer for my son - overpriced - out of machine, but he's my couponning/rebate/stand around the store assistant, so I felt I needed to reward him! (He works cheap, thankfully) :~)
I also bought 3 packs of Chips Ahoy Cookies (50% off each-due to expire in two weeks) (I have only 1 still left 3 days later!)
and
2 boxes of Gerber baby oatmeal (due to expire end of March) 50% off that went to the food pantry
I then used the $15 Extra Value Bucks I earned last month and the $2.99 Extra value bucks I had left over from my 1st purchase.
What I spent:
$5.73 | out of pocket |
I'm thrilled!
