We picked up our February Angel Food Ministries order on Saturday. This recipe was in the little magazine we got with our order (passed out by the church that serves as the pickup location).
We fixed both recipes in the last month's magazine and they were amazing! Trust me! I'm a foodie--I wouldn't pass on a recipe I wasn't sure it was good!
All-Day Slow Cooker Steak Soup
Makes 6-7 Servings. Prep time: 30 minutes
Slow Cook: at 300 degrees for 8-10 hours.
1 lb. sirloin strip steaks, cut into ½ inch cubes*
1 medium onion, chopped*
1 TBS olive oil
5 medium carrots, thinly sliced (or 1 lb frozen carrots)*
4 cups shredded cabbage
4 medium red potatoes, diced*
2 celery ribs, diced, or 1 TBS celery flakes
2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cans (14.5 oz each) beef broth
1 can (10.75 oz) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 TBS sugar
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp dried parsley flakes
In a large skillet, brown steak and onion in oil; drain.
Place in a 5-qt. slow cooker at 300 degrees.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender.
I used the '*' to indicate what food items were included in the February order.

Beth, I haven't heard of Share Foods but I'm glad there are other organizations out there to help people.
Last night I stuck a whole chicken in the crockpot, seasoned it and let it "bake" on low over night. That's what we ate today!
