Help Eliminate AIDS in Africa?

I just HAVE to say this, no need to comment.  Donate Gather points to help ELIMINATE AIDS in Africa?  Why not to help eliminate it here?  We haven't ELIMINATED it here...  How in the "H" "E" "double hockey sticks" are we going to ELIMINATE AIDS in Africa?

Good point. I'd say we need to consider both (as society is global, the presence of HIV/AIDS in both locations is problematic).

Hallmark will not be selling me any cards. I am not interested in eliminating disease half way around the world with my dollars in a hidden tax incorporated into the price of a greeting card. This program costs Hallmark nothing. It costs the people buying their products. It is nothing but an advertising gimick.

I agree Heather.We spend a lot on charity all over the world while we have sick,poor,hungry and homeless right here at home.

Some are sending outdated meds which are better than none. Money helps but the numbers are staggering. The Sex trade is a huge problem where many are forced into slavery.
