For all you feline lovers out there, I have a special treat for you that I was blessed to be a part of several years ago, out at my "friend's friend's" farm in northeast Texas country. It was an early summer day, and my friend and I were invited to go out to her friend's farm as she said there had been several litters of kittens that had been born in the spring, and they were all hanging around on the cement front porch to keep cool in the summer heat. I knew it would be an excellent photo opportunity as well as a chance to play with these wonderful little furballs. I couldn't wait!
It was such a wonderful, special day, and we couldn't have asked for more - it was a real cat-lovers heaven there at the farm. I took photo after photo of the kittens and their mamas who were lying or playing on the front porch, of some who were still nursing, of others who were doing a whole lot of horsing around with one another, and of all just being heart-tuggingly cute! I only know of the fate of one of these kittens, and that was the one who became "Reno", who was adopted by my friend about a week or so after these photos were taken. You can see pictures of Reno among some of my other Gather photos. He's all grown up now and has become a big, meaty cat who's quite confident that he's thoroughly loved and cared for! I can't tell you what happened to the rest of them - we never knew. I just prayed they all found good homes with loving owners.
So, without my ado, I'm just going to post my favorite shots here, so you too can vicariously enjoy these sweet, precious, endearing little kittens!

Thanks for the submission.
You have a very good eye, I can never get good shots of my pets
I volunteered for a cat rescue and I also lived on a farm.
I never understood about inbreeding until I got older and saw the misery of what the babies go through(mental disorders, deformities etc). Sickness spreads from sick or infected rats and mice and the cats immunities become very poor.
YOUR PICTURES are fabulous though!!!!!!!!!!
I have 3 cats myself...and with cat rescue had had lots more.
We also have 2 dogs so I too am an animal lover.. I just believe animal owners should be responsible. Rat and Mice traps really could be a better solution.
