Remember my plan to keep my boss in the dark about my joining the army until I submit my three weeks notice?
Well... I think they're starting to suspect.
My hours last week: 37
This week: 18
Now, a massive reduction in hours wouldn't by itself trigger an alarm (I do need some time off once in awhile), but management is quizzing my coworkers, and any of my friends who enter about me being in the army.
To be fair, I've told just over a dozen people, and ordered them to keep it silent. Strangely enough, I haven't even told a certain member of my immediate family- crying for a month straight when she found out I was joining wasn't entertaining.
Well, today right before my arrival at work she was interrogating the staff, half of whom have no idea whether or not I've been accepted.
So, I was informed that most shrugged and told her no. A few were snarky and made it seem like a stupid question to ask.
Then someone I know (and have told) walked in the door, to be quizzed.
They suspect something is up...
But I have some vacation time ahead apparently, and that's all that really matters.

Thanks for the info Sophie, I had absolutely no idea that it worked that way... (lol)
Oh well, guess I'll have to get used to having time to myself ^^
Thats how they kept track of who was applying for a new job, and they would usually end up firing them soon after....even though they would say it was for something else.
