FALLOUT FROM A KISS

No one
Could have this much love

All at once, she felt,
And wondered

If it was one big gush of feeling
Seeping through her

From that kiss
From the guy

In the funny hat
With the deep blue eyes

And the smile to sweep
Her into paradise;

If she knew what that was,
Which she didn't;

So maybe it wasn't love
After all, but just

The fallout from a kiss.
