Listed below are a few events that will come to pass in the years to come. Some people, alive today, will be witness to some of them, others will not. However, whether in the near or more distant future, all the events described are destined to be realized.
These predictions are not based on some fanciful notions dreamed up merely to titilate the imaginations of a curious public, nor are they the product of any so-called psychic who presumes to have the ability to see into the future. The events listed are bound to occur, and are presented here by the author for your enlightenment.
These events are not listed in chronological or any other particular order.
1. The United States will revert to a nation of 48 states, since both Alaska and Hawaii will become free and independent nations.
2. Likewise the island of Puerto Rico will become a free and independent nation.
3. There will never again be a free, independent Palestinian/Moslem state anywhere within the area once known as Palestine.
4. The area now comprising Israel together with the Palestinian territories, will, in the future, become a single, undivided nation that is neither Jewish nor Moslem.
5. There will be another revolution in Iran, overthrowing the clerics. Islamic fundamentalism will decline, and Iran will no longer show even a semblance of a threat to western nations.
6. Islam will die out and become ineffective as a motivating force in the lives of its followers, similar to the status of Christianity today.
7. Large, once influential, churches, dominated by male clergy, will decline in membership, and in influence and prestige.
8. A new form of government, more democratic than any presently existing, will evolve and become very popular in many parts of the world.
9. Associations of nations, similar to the European Union, will spread to Africa, Latin America and Asia.
10. A relatively new religion will grow in popularity and spread rapidly accross the earth in spite of widespread opposition from numerous quarters.

Interesting prognostication! I can believe that some of these things may come to pass. Others do not fit my understanding of human nature and the basic fear motivation which so strongly influences the affairs of mankind.
Human behavior alters according to the external stimuli and the particular human's knowledge but human nature is what it is. It might change in a thousand years but I doubt it. At least, that's my humble opinion.
I understand what you are saying but believe you are confusing human nature with human behavior. I do not believe that human nature has changed one iota since the birth of Christ. And when the conditions are right, the behavior has not improved either. A great leader/teacher/prophet can inspire those who hear him or her to improve their behavior but this has a tendency to deteriorate in a couple of hundred years.
The Christian church was basically underground for the first three hundred years and prospered and grew. After it's adoption by Constantine, it came out in the open but I believe that the church that carried on was slightly watered down from the first years. And I see no evidence that the nature of man was changed by the spread of Christianity, nor do I believe that it is the intent of the church to alter human nature, only human behavior.
I strongly agree that man, as a species, is maturing. I only hope that maturation can occur in a sufficiently timely manner as to prevent nuclear war and the annihilation of the species and all other higher life on earth! The way I see it, man has about fifty years in which we must grow up and utilize means other than war and oppression if we are to survive. And I also agree that globalization is the ultimate means to this end.
Not by force but by collusion. And not a loss of sovereignty by member states but by a more loosely held federation. To give up sovereignty is a non starter for most nations and especially here in the US.
