The Wolf Period In Nature A Time Of Rebirth
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope and expectation begin to assume the face of certainty. With early hints of spring, a time for rebirth and new beginnings is imminent. While ice and snow still linger, winter bows to the increasing strength of the Sun. The first buds and courageous flowers announce the new life about to break through. The old cycle of nature is coming to an end, and a new cycle is about to begin.
People, ideas, and projects that are taking shape now are filled with new hope, devotion, and a more or less conscious faith in the natural world. This extends to things, situations, and people. During the Wolf period, concepts like service to your fellow humans are not simply romantic notions or empty words but, rather, the content and foundation of all that we think and do. For that reason, projects and activities are based on loving intentions and selfless thoughts. Instinct and intuition are now the best counsel. However, beware the danger that people's generosity and trust may be exploited.
Wolf is now in peak form because this is his time. Woodpecker and Serpent have golden opportunities. Beaver and Goose feel energized and motivated.
Spring fever seems to be in the air everywhere, and Gather is no different! The circle of life is neverending and all that was becomes new again, hope springs eternal. My favorite time of year and the best time for walks and discoveries. Even if all you do is park a little further from the office to do it, everyone should take a walk - to look, in order to see............. What do you see, what can you discover new today? =D
Enjoy the Sun, Peace
I wish we could walk a little more around here. Today it has gotten warm enough to melt some of the snow, but there's still so much more to melt away. And I hear it is going to get down into the teens and twenties yet this week. So there's the danger of ice. I guess we'll have to wait a little more to go out and walk.
I wanted to thank you for commenting on one of my recent Aesop's Fables articles. I have finally been able to put all the links to the series onto one article to make it easier to read other ones. Feel free to visit and read some of my earlier articles. Thank you!
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, 'My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.
One is Evil.
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret , greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good.
It is joy, peace , love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence,
Empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.
The grandson thought about it for a minute
And then asked his grandfather: 'Which wolf wins?'
The old Cherokee simply replied,
'The one you feed .'
