My Wonderful Surprise!!!

This is what I found today. 

First, I found this. 

 

Then this. 

 

The first litter is Betsey's.  She is Chocolate and dad is Pinto.  The second is Indie's.  Her litter was not planned.  She found a way to climb out of her cage into another.  She was only there one day, but I guess that's all it took.  She is Chocolate and so is the dad.  I can't believe they were born on the same day!

Oh wow....that's just amazing. 9 little ones total?? They are so cute...I can't wait to see more photos as they grow.

I was really surprised because this is a first litter for both. I thought Betsey only had two, but when I moved her there were 5! I hope they are good mothers.

I will keep them until they find homes. I don't plan on keeping any back from these litters. Indie couldn't stay in her own cage!!

Margo, they are tiny. I will try to get some pictures of them in my hands in the next few days. I don't want to stress the mothers too much because they are both new at this.

Congrats!! They are soooo adorable. I loved mine when they'd reach about the three week mark and start exploring the cage, and interacting with me when I'd hold them.

I also can't wait to see more images! Congratulations! I hope that you have an easy time finding homes for them. I think Hedgehogs are often misunderstood as pets.

OMG - they are so cute and TINY! If I was anywhere near you I'd adopt one or two in a heartbeat. Yeah, I know, like I need another pet to add to my "zoo", but I've held a hedgehog before and thought it was so neat. never knew they were so interactive. Not sure what their actual intelligence is like, but they're obviously not stupid ...

Oh they are very sweet I miss mine so much now. I found mine one morning when I was cleanning out there cage it was a total suprize to me.
