Product Review: BZZing about The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner

The Basics
The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner ( Now with a Dual  Sprayer) is designed to hang on you shower head.  With a press of a button the cleaner shoots out from the cleaning head, powered by four AA batteries, which are included. You must use the special cleaner in the start-up kit which comes with two 34 oz bottles of cleaner, each bottle has enough for about 21 cleanings. This cleaner is indicated to clean mold, mildew and soap scum. The sprayer provides 360° coverage and shoots up to 8 feet away for about 12 seconds.

 It was very easy to set up. Hubby removed the unit from the box, inserted the batteries and turned a bottle of the liquid cleaner upside down into the holder, and hung it in the shower, and presto . When you've finished showering, or in our case at the end of the day, you touch the little blue button on the front of the machine and it begins to beep for 15 seconds to warn you that it is going to start. You then shut the doors or curtain on your shower and it starts spraying in a 360 degree fashion around the entire shower, for 12 seconds. Sprayer 1 spins 360º to cover all four walls and tub with cleaning solution while Sprayer 2 targets back corners and edges.  It's hard to believe that such a small effortless, spray, is doing a great job, but it does.

Note that I had my shower cleaner installed in a shower over a full tub, not a small shower stall. I considered my shower (especially the tub) to be "dirty" before I started using this, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a real difference after just three days. My shower hadn't been REALLY dirty, but it some pretty obvious brownish stains (yuck), especially near the floor of the tub and a few vertical surfaces. After a few days, only the serious stains remained. Now, after about a week, the serious stains are going away.

Two notes on the use of this shower cleaning system: You cannot adjust the nozzle to spray up higher or down lower. Therefore, if you have a shower nozzle that is higher and there are water marks above where the nozzle sprays, you're out of luck. The second point: The machine itself can be raised higher than the shower nozzle itself by hanging it higher than your shower nozzle, i.e., on a hook.
