I received my Recipezaar newsletter this week and the feature was calzones, which I absolutely love! They had Italian, vegetarian and other varieties. I think I know what I am making for dinner tomorrow! I just need to narrow down the choice... hmmm...

though I really call them inside out pizzas...cause WAYYYYYYYYYYY back when I was young I worked at a resturant caled lombardos in St Louis that served a calzone appetizer....and nothing has compared to it since...light light pastry dough layered with provel type cheese and extremely thin sliced procuitto ham...TO DIE FOR....
anyway...I am gonna make my fociccia dough and bought a three italian cheese blend and some pepperonis onion and mushrooms
and...I hope ya dont mind this...but...for those who dont care to make their own dough and stuff.....buy some not so cheap...NOT THIN crust pizza's all ow them to thaw...add what ever ingredients you like on and fold in half.....seal the edges...poke three steam holes in the top...brush with butter or olive oil and sprinkle with seasonings and parma cheese....
Actually, I might make mine from scratch tomorrow. I have a good recipe for BM pizza dough to try.
I am not sure what to put in mine though. Broccoli and cheese blend? Blue cheese and chicken? All of the above?
Thanks, Elaine.
He said...and I quote, "Aw man! Oh my god! We can make them tomorrow ok?!? Wait. Too bad you don't have the recipe for Sub Sauce!".
Ahem.
I can hear him now.
