Being a Florida resident gets a discount on tickets to Disney. Since our daughter is not yet three, she was free. So a 4-day park hopper pass cost us $145/person, about $310 all together for hubby and I with taxes. If we would not have done the hopper it would have been only $125 each. We only ended up using three of the days since hubby got sick, but we can go back any time in the next six months to use the last day.
We stayed in a Marriott hotel, because hubby's parents have a timeshare, and so we used some of their points to stay three nights, so we did not have to pay for our hotel stay, which helped out a lot. We did altho end up deciding to drive up on Wednesday night and stay in a cheap hotel instead of driving up Thurday morning and being tired when we got to the parks. So we did have to pay for one night, but we might not have been able to afford to go had we not had a free hotel stay the rest of the time. Also, to save money, we took a cooler with us and made our own sandwhiches for lunch a couple of the days, and also took our own snacks and drinks into the park with us.
Here are some pics from our trip: (we went from the 20- 24 of Feb)
Thursday was our first day at Disney, and Animal Kingdom was our first stop.

some Bats at Animal Kingdom:

not sure what kind of bird this is, but it flew up right next to me.

Mommy and Maddie:

Tree of Life:

Petting zoo at Animal Kingdom:

After the Animal Kingdom we went to MGM Studios.
Maddie had sooo much fun at the Honey I shrunk the Kids Movie Set

We didn't do much else at MGM. We saw MuppetVission 3D here is Maddie in her 3D glasses :)

Hubby and I were going to take turns on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster but the line was just way too long, and even with the fast pass we would have had to wait about 4 hrs before coming back to get to ride. I did get a pic of the big guitar though.

Friday we spent the whole day at Epcot.
We wanted to go on the Figment ride but it was closed, we did get our picture taken with Figment though.

We rode on the Seas with Nemo Ride:

Maddie LOVED the aquarium and didn't want to leave.
But then we were off and headed for the World Showcase.
Our first stop was Mexico where we ran into Donald Duck:

Then we stopped and ate at a steakhouse in Japan. Maddie wanted to try and use the chopsticks just like Mommy and Daddy :)
After lunch Maddie was getting tired, but we saw Sleeping Beauty so we stopped to get our picture taken:

After we finished at Epcot we went back and swam in the pool at our hotel!

Even though we had a four day pass we only spend three days at Disney. We can go back any time in the next six months and use our last day.
Saturday, our last day, we spent at Magic Kingdom.

Unfortunately it started raining shortly after we arrived, and continued to rain for several hours. Plus hubby wasn't feeling well so we didn't do much at all on Saturday and were back in our hotel by around 1pm. We were a bit disappointed because we had planned on doing lots as Magic Kingdom and then didn't get to do much at all.
We did go for a couple of hours on Thur night, because we wanted to see the parade.
When we first got there the characters were performing in front of Cinderellas Castle:

Then we rode on

Madeline LOVED It. We rode this ride twice. Once Thur night, and once Sat morning.

Then we also rode:

altho Maddie didn't like it as well. It was too dark inside.
There isn't much else we did at Magic Kingdom. It rained too much. We had lunch and bought some ponchos to try and help stay dry, but in the end between the rain and hubby feeling sick it was just too much and we went back to the hotel.

Thanks for reading my photo essay and looking at my Disney Pics!

We did have a wonderful time! Madeline had a blast!
Sue~ We saw that there was going to be that flower and garden fest. They had parts of the park blocked off because they were setting stuff up for it.
Thanks for posting to All Photo Essays Here!

Girly Comments & Graphics
I truly appreciate them all!!
Glad you all had a good time! Looked like alot of fun!
we probably would have Melanie, but we ended up deciding to move back to IL.
Now our passes are actually expired. We didn't pay the extra to get a no expiration date on them so we only had 6months from the date we first used them to come back.
