American Idol

i DO NOT LIKE SIMON, i GET THE LATEST ON E.T.

I like the little 17 year old boy. He's a cutie and very talented. I think he'll go far with all the little girls texting their little booties off and voting for him. lol I also like the guy with the dred's. He's awkward to watch, but I really like his style and the sound of his voice.

The little Asian girl is a power house of a singer. I really would like to see her go farther.

And......I just LOVE Simon.

I'm still deciding but I think this year I like the boys better. The girls did not do well last night at all!

American Idol is a Michael Bolton-Celine Dion factory. STOP allowing television to wreck music.

Since this year the group is filled with pros, they should be better than last year.

I don't watch American Idol. But I do get a kick out of seeing clips from it. I heard, as Juan mentioned above, that there are a lot of pros among the contestants. Doesn't quite seem fair unless they are held to a higher standard. That could make for some interesting Simon clips! LOL

I agree that the guys did much better than the girls this week. David Archuleta that say Imagine is incredible. I also like David Cook the self-confessed "word nerd" He seems genuine. I liked Amanda the female rocker -but this week she did NOT rock at all!

I think David did awesome this week, but I don't have a clear favorite to win yet. There are several I like, and a few I could do without but none that I think are just horrid, unlike other years. I have been disappointed by a few - Amanda Overmyer for one. I thought she was going to be a lot better than she has been. Poor song choice has been an issue again, as usual, and I think age is showing itself with a lot of the contestants. Anyone considering AI should spend time studying songs of various genres and get prepared beforehand. Jason Castro and Luke Menard get my oh what a hottie vote - I just hope their talent will add up still. They have both shined at times, so I am hopeful for them.

And as for pros being in the contest - well my thoughts are if they do not have a current reconding contract, it is fair game. In the real world, you have to compete with everyone, not just the ones with no experience. So I think it is absolutely fair to have them compete - and I am glad they do, because it is a great opportunity for them and gives us good contestants to listen to as well.

I like the guys better this year, I like Robbie C and David Archuleta.

i ususally just watch auditions and then quit when they narrow it down, but im suprised, i have actually caught a few episodes!

I don't watch it but on Cosmo radio they always play the worst ones and some have been pretty hilarious. Like the goth girl who sang I'm so happy LOL

I started watching with season 6. My pick from day one was Jordin Sparks. This year it's harder. I like several contestants but none really stand out like Jordin did. I guess of the girls I like Syesha & Amanda. Of the two, I would vote Amanda. Of the guys, Chikezie & David A would be my picks. Of the two, It's a hard choice. Chikezie has a ggod voice & more stage presence than David. David needs to overcome his shyness & just "let go"
I think the Beatles songs have been hard for everyone. You just can't try to take on someting like that & expect a great outcome. Face it, even the Beattle era is sliding away. Let the new kids do what they listened to as teens and what they like now.
If they're expected to learn songs from 30-40 years ago, why stop with rock? Why not country? It is a popular and a multi million dollar genre after all.
I don't like the way Fox is dragging the show on & on. and to change format midstream, isn't nice. I agree the show could be shorter, and leave out all the extra stuff. The commercials take up enough time. I think a 30 sec video or interview prior to each performance, let them sing, the judges have their say, & then the next person comes on. The second nite, just a brief overview of the previous nite, get to the votes without all the hype & tension. Just say it straight up. The show should be down to an hour the first nite and half hour the next nite.
And I like Simon most of the time because he's never wishy-washy. He should be more considerate in his choice of words. I probably won't wach Idol again next year tho.

i think the guys r better this yr i like michael, david cook, and jason castro the best i think they should be top 3 in the whole competition, but i also like as far as women carly is the best there

btw i love simon and ryan but cant stand amanda she needs to go home and so does chekeezie

It will come down to David Cook versus David Archuleta. I like goody-girl Brooke, but I don't think her appeal is as universal as David A's. Cook had an off week last week and lost some ground. I'm embarrassed how much I like the show now!

I have never watch even one episode of this show.

I like David Arculetea I really hope he wins this year. He has such a great voice

I got sick of the whole deal really early on this year....but the guy that won I did really like.

I don't think this group has been the best, myself.

I have been watching Idol since season 1 and have only missed a few episodes of the show, and only because some events prevented me from watching...

This is the best Idol season ever. The best overall talent than in all the other individual seasons.

Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, and Allison are my favorite. I am rooting for Adam to win the show. He deserves the title the most out of all of them. Kris reminds me of Jason Mraz, and Allison reminds me of Kelly Clarkson. But both are original in their own right. They do not try to copy the artists they are compared too. They are not just singers, but artists and will be successful after Idol no matter who wins.

There was talk that Paula was gonna leave the show so they put in Kara to later replace Paula... I like Kara on the show but with 4 judges more time is needed for the judge critiques and because the judges take a long time to give their criticism of each contestant they are always on the brink of sending the show over its air time. A few times they even went over it and those people that were recording the show on TiVo missed the end of the show.

I think it was nice to have the judges' save this season as in some other previous seasons some contestants like Tamyra Gray, LaToya London, and Chris Daughtry were eliminated too soon...I think Daughtry should have won that season. He was the best out of the whole bunch.

I am not sure about having the top 13 but the only reason I am glad they had it was because they gave Anoop Desai a chance, and he proved he deserved to be in the top 12/13. Megan should have never been put through. She got old and boring fast. And her voice was annoying and so predictable. Oh and her awkward moves were ridiculous. It came of as if she was uncomfortable on stage. I never liked her to begin with, and I don't think she is very unique as the judges have said.

I can't wait for the finale!!!!!!! or for next week for that matter!!!!!! Gotta get my Adam and Kris fix... :)
