It's almost midnight and I'm just getting back home to go to bed after a long day of studying for my pathology practical. I've been looking at all sorts of disorders of the hypothalamus, pineal gland, thymus, thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals, gonads, and pituitary glands. As soon as I'm done with the pathology practical, I'll be back to studying with Michael for the next day's endocrine final. As soon as that's done, I'm done, free, and heading home to CA. Wish me luck!!!

Good luck! There will be plenty of work available in those areas, what with the prevalence of: microwave ovens, chlorinated water, soy, plastics, and so many more environmental contaminants. Randall Fitzgerald wrote a book called 'The Hundred-Year Lie' about this. Thanks for posting the update -- we know you'll ace it!

Ugh sounds tiring. My husband had to have his thyroid cut out not all of it but a lot of it! It was so growing so large it was blocking his airway and making it really hard for him to swollow. He was literally choking on things as small as peas. It was scary. The doctor told us he had a disease called "salt" lymphosidic thyroiditis. When I look it up it doesnt have the info I want as it doesnt quite match his symtoms. The doctor said it was very rare. When he had the surgery it was giong to be a short thing like a couple hours and it wound up being 8 hours. It was scary waiting in the recovery room wondering what was going on why it was taking so long. I felt so bad for him afterwards.
