Musicheads sat down to talk up Bon Iver "For Emma Forever Ago", Jack Penate's "Matinee" and British Sea Power's "Do You Like Rock Music?" Guests DJ Mark Wheat and The Current's Music Director Melanie Walker shared their two cents...and more.
Of course we opened another question this week. What rock star did you want to be growing up?

In high school I wanted to be Siouxsie Sioux, and I wore the hair and eyeliner to prove it.
Now I wish I were Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent). I'd like to be rail-thin and beautiful and be able to shred a guitar and sing like Edith Piaf.
Life is unfair.
I WAS Gene Simmons for a few "gigs" that my friends and I did in our garage, miming to KISS records and playing fake instruments we had made. (most of them left over from the previous "Beatles" excursion (see above). This was the "Love Gun" era KISS.
We made our own costumes out of cardboard, tin foil, and tights, and learned how to do the makeup. I got to spit "blood" (it's messy and sticky), and we shot off fireworks during the "show". Thank god that no one got hurt, and even more important: NO photographic evidence exists of me in that get up any longer. At least not that I own.
Of course, I certainly would not want to be him today. Yick....
Now I'd rather be Brian Eno.
That woman can RAWK.
But I don't think it's a contest in the last 5 years who I'd at least strive to have 1 ounce of his natural songwriting ability in Kevin Gilbert.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I'd still kind of like to be Paul Simon. Brilliant. :)
prior to that, maybe George Harrison, or Todd Rundgren (briefly - circa Time Heals).
i wasn't too into rawk stars. i wanted to be Tchaikovsky!
I remember seeing the Go-Go's open for the Police at the old Met Center back in the early 80's. Many thought they blew the Police away!
As a kid, I thought KISS was the coolest, but I really wanted to embody the collective entity that is KISS rather than be any one of them.
I had a active imagination as a kid.
LONG LIVE PAUL STANLEY... LONG LIVE KISS... LONG LIVE ROCK-N-ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone ever dress as KISS for Halloween?
"In Rainbows" is brilliant!
(Another one of my favorite artists is Charles Mingus. A few months ago I was looking at Thom Yorkes wiki page and found that "Kid A" was influenced partly by Mingus.)
