Mariana T. has inspire me again! This time with her lovely posting of an old friend, an oak tree. She mused about the language of the wind!


Whispers
of ocean breeze
landed in leaves of oak
teasing talk bounces tree to tree

Beautiful- gave me goose bumps. I can imagine the coast, and then can also picture the hilly breeze of California or Kansas. Your words sing, as always.

When a poem is this lovely, I hate to try and say anything articulate about it. I think your poem stands on its own like a majestic tree, calling out to the other trees in various nuances of tone and words.

This is a form of poetry I had not paid much attention to before - but I am loving it. This one is especially beautiful. I think it's the brevity I am drawn to.
