Snow, Snow, And More Snow!

I am SICK of snow!
I live in New Hampshire, and it never seems to stop snowing!
Today, there was more snow.
Tuesday, there will be even more of it.
There has been one storm after another since I care to remember.
One of my shovels is bent from using it so much.
My body is bent as well.
I have had enough.
Can someone make it stop?
The winter will last one more day this year because of February 29th.
Leap year's day used to be a fun time with the usual jokes.
If you were 40, you could say that you were really 10, if your birthday was on that day.
This year, it is just another day to count until spring.
I'll bet it snows on that day.
Old man winter will have one more day to sock it to us.
He must be mad this year.
What did I do to deserve this?

Yep....too much snow here too and more is supposed to come within the next couple of days. Seems like the longest winter EVER!

I think I could deal better with the snow, more so than these balsted ice storms we have been getting. All these storms is sure making this winter seem to last long. Spring will certainly be more welcome this year, as far as I am concerned.

I feel for you. We are experiencing record snow here in WI. Last I herd we had recieved a record of more than 86in. so far this season.

we didn`t have alot of snow this year. it did snow yesterday though. I`m still ready for Spring. i hope your snow melts soon.

Not sure it is true, but I've heard that New Hampshire has two seasons, winter and the fourth of July.

George, I am with you. Today New York and the tri state area received a whopping heap of snow...okay, 8 inches in our area here in Northern Westchester county (an hour north of NYC) and most likely not as bad as what you get in New Hampshire, but snow is snow and I hate the snow as much as you. In fact, I think it should be abolished altogether. Sadly more is expected to come tonight and on Tuesday and Wednesday, in addition to my all time favorite: ICE. Yup, love driving on ice. Maybe I will stay home instead.

Spring anyone?

Gee and I was upset we got 4-6 inches of snow last night after being in an area that has been snowed around the last 2 weeks or so. Think balmy spring breezes - it will be here before you know it!

Our snow hasn't been too bad but the sleet and ice is unbearable. I stepped out to chip the ice off the walk way and fell on my butt. Its too cold for salt to melt the ice so we have several inches of ice/sleet/snow/ice.

Yes, I am snowed in now in Massachusetts but I think that it is kind of nice. I have no where to go and the fire burns warm...and I can just cozy up on the couch and read and not feel guilty that I should be up and about.

I couldn't agree more. I live in Maine and we have had our fair share as well. I am so sick of it. It's hard to keep your spirts up when it is one storm right after the other.

Hang in there George. Yesterday we had a bad ice and snow storm. I hate winter. The only one in my house that likes the snow is Rocky, my dog. He goes out and makes doggie angels in it.

On the other hand, 90% humidity. Mowing the lawn. Pruning the bushes. 101 degrees in the shade. Cleaning the pool. Warm drinks cause the ice keeps melting. Sunburns.

We've missed most of the current round of snow and ice in Southern Illinois although the last round did get us. Luckily, we're just far enough downstate that we miss what the upper part gets.

We have been pretty lucky in this area so far this winter. I can remember one winter, everytime I dug my car out, it snowed again. So, I stopped digging out my car and started riding in taxi cabs.

We just had our second snow storm of the year. The first only lasted 3 days and this one is on it's second day but melting already. I'm tired of cold bare ground.

I hear ya George! I have it on good authority that spring is on its way. Last week I awakened to the birds singing outside of my bedroom window. They were just letting me know to hang on!
In the mean time, I scraped ice and snow from my car this morning so that I could go to work....lol.

May I suggest you move to Key West Florida? There is no snow there. There has never been snow there. People complain they are "freezing" when the temperature dips below 60 degrees. Did I mention there is no snow there? Children growing up never knowing what a snowman is? Santa on the chimney wearing red shorts? (I kid you not, he's a few blocks away from the Southernmost point.)

We on Long Island had snow a few times, but it was only a dusting and vanished the next day. Yesterday we got 5" of snow. My cousin's youngest was finally able to make a snowman. Can you imagine life never being able to make a snowman? My co-worker goes to your state almost every weekend (with the new baby he has more important things to do) so perhaps it's a great place to visit.

Before the storm I was seriously thinking about how wonderful Buffalo would be this time of year. All the SNOW. I lived in "paradise" but returned for the snow and the fall foliage.

I live in Michigan, and it has been pretty much non-stop for most of Febuary here.
But the birds are beginning to sing (when there are brief periods of sunshine) and the trees are beginning to bud, so thats a good sign...

Yes! I'd agree in february and agree so much more today! Yesterday was green and blooming here and today everything is suffocated under mound of snow and more is on the way. It pretty much ruins the Easter. And mood and everything.

Snow is one of the joys of living in New England, USA. Besides, when the consider the weather of the other regions of the continental USA, I'll always take New England weather.
Would you rather deal with: hurricanes, flooding of the Mississippi River, tornadoes, mud slides, earthquakes, fires, the winters of MN/WI and the dreary weather of WA/OR? I think NOT - lol. --Joe
