We use Cincinnati Bell for local phone, long distance, cell phones and DSL. We love them! Never get dropped calls.
When hubby's dad was in Hawaii - both with Cincinnati Bell cell service - his call sounded like he was next door.
And when my niece got married in Colorado, my son and I (both Cincinnati Bell customers) were the only ones who had a signal out of about 30 guests at the dude ranch. (They all had to wait in line for the office phone or use the pay phone.)
Sprint, which seems to work pretty well for me (I've had it for 5 years). I just have one of their basic bare bones phones. I was happy to get it in black, and a flip phone. That was about all that mattered to me. :)
My fiance has a Katana (which they are apparently phasing out) that takes photos, but our plan doesn't allow free photo taking, so he doesn't use it.
I have the Verizon barebones old fashion large phone. So simple and easy. My other half has the Verizon Razor that is supposed to work anywhere. Well it does if he goes outside just like I have to do with my old one. But my daughters Verizon just like this one works anywhere in my house. Odd isnt it. Two phones just alike, same company, but different service. One bad one good.
I have Sprint & AT&T. Sprint has a great plan, but they don't have an iPhone. My contract isn't up with Sprint until August. So we will have the family plan on that until August. Then the rest of the family will switch over to AT&T at that time. On AT&T I have bare bones. I love the iphone because it does everything, but if I wanted out of my sprint contract they said it would be $600.00!

I have T-Mobile. We've got 2 lines wih 1000 minutes per month between the two, but all minutes between the two are free, so we never seem to go over 500 (and all my family is long-distance). Only costs us $60/mo. after taxes and fees. We're in for 7 more months and then we can decide to stay or leave, but we'll probably stay and perhaps upgrade our phones. We have Motorola V360s with cameras, texting, mp3 capability, and internet capability, but only use the first 2 on that list. I rarely have dropped calls (except near the local airport) and we haven't had any prblems other than that.
I have Sprint, the phone is an LG, takes pictures, but I don't send them to my computer as that would cost me. We have a contract that ends in sept. I believe. Hubby said he wants to drop it when we can get out of the contract. If we drop them now it will cost us about $600 as I have a phone, hubby has a phone and my son has a phone all on this contract.
Pat Virgin Mobile is Sprint system... Boost is also Sprint...

To get the best service, find out if your entitled to be on the hierarchy of your company or of some co you relate to like the credit union or a union or some such, becouse they #1 have discounts on the monthly mrc as well as you get corporate care.
Just a suggestion... and keep your eyes pealed for a 60-80 a month unlimited minute plan from sprint. I do not have inside but it is in the news if you look...
Oh and as with all carriers the contracts are per-phone line, no the whole account... and all of then charge the 200 per contract, but soon sprint is suposed to release a prorated system costing less as the contract is used up...
I have Verizon and a Pocket PC phone. I love the Pocket PC-capabilities but hate the phone. We get great service but the phone is just a pain to use as a phone.
Hubby has a plain Jane flip phone from Virgin Mobile (Sprint) for emergency use. As long as the emergencies are away from home we're set. We can't get any cell phone signal from inside the crater.
I love the A.T&T that was the old Cinguler with our roll, over minutes the cost is high even with DSL atv least the roll over minutes are great. When my moms deceased husbands boss ran up a nearly I think it was a 300 or so phone bill from calling and using up our cell minutes and mom got mad and told the guy to pay the bill hisself if he had to get hold of her husband that bad we got the 5000 shareed minuted that roll over every month we desided after a long aganized talk after he died to keep it for getting in contact with family if I get sick and go in to the hospital mom said by doing that it was habdyer than running up everyones bill. Even on that plan we can call other AT&T users and even get on it on weekends and it never cost a thing.
I have Sprint, and I love them. They have great customer service and have never messed up a bill or a rebate. They coverage is pretty good. I have a very basic phone....
I have Cingular and hate them! No dropped calls just sucky customer service! I love my phone though, it is a Sony Walkman W580i. It takes pictures and plays music.
I have Verizon, and so far so good. I wish they had better phones. There are some dropped calls and weird places it doesn't work. Like it will work 10 hours away from home but not an hour -- go figure! Also hates basements - lol ;).
I wish it wasn't so expensive. It eats up a lot of dough each month!
I have AT&T. We are on a family plan. Customer service is fair. We lose bars in the strangest places. I will be talking to my friend on the phone (she also has AT&T) and we lose each other constantly. I am usually in my house and sometimes lose service there depending on where I am standing or sitting. In big stores I lose service. She is usually working and loses me at regular intervals. My phone makes phone calls. It has text capabilities but we don't use that. I guess it can search for media online but I don't really know because we have that disabled too. It doesn't actually get on the internet. It doesn't have the ability to send songs to other phones like some do which is actually a pretty cool feature. My phone doesn't play real music- only those stupid polyphonic ring tones. I would rather it just ring than have those. My phone takes no pictures and no video.
I have sprint. It's good anywhere but at home. Can't get any reception in my house. Really sucks. Haven't had good experience with their online store when it comes to changing service. I've tried to UPGRADE my service three times with no luck. You'd think they would make taking my money easier. I'm likely to switch companies as soon as my contract is up.
We have a family plan with Tmobile. We pay about $200 a month for 3 phones with unlimited text messages, a definate perk. I have the Tmobile Dash, I LOVE my phone, its great looking and sophisticated. I paid almost $400 for it, it was worth it.
We have the family plan with t-mobile... @ phones for under $70.00 a month. Each phone has a 400 text message plan and we get like 1000 minutes to share or something. Since we only call each other and send texts we never go over our minutes. Problem is that our coverage is not so great all the time...
Verizon Wireless. Love the service, always seem to get reception where most companies do not. Barely ever have dropped calls. Unfortunately, a little bit pricey. But worth looking in to, I think they really are one of the better companies when it comes to coverage.
I don't know...ain't that a hoot? But what ever it is...if I use it while driving this strange voice comes on and says, 'This phone will self destruct if you don't get off NOW!' yikes.
Verizon! I love Verizon! I've had other cell phone companies but have switched from them for various reasons, but I love Verizon. I have a blackberry curve which works well, I also have their internet service. Verizon all the way! Yeah Verizon!

We like this company, because it charges us one fee every month, with no hidden fees and charges.
We have no contracts with Cincinnati Bell. We can add or subtract services at will. I like that.
My phone works anywhere, but my hubby and son's don't work in the house.
