She was in purple today
sitting on my window
I am a bird of qualm
singing exquisitely night and day
Crimson eyes measured the humanity
Dropped fire seeds of ecstasy
Perched on wisdom's tree
With the streams of eternity
Listen to my mystic song
Touch this burning heart
Follow my blazing desires
accompany me all night long
My soul harkens to me
She has thousand colors
what color is?
Envy?
I found in me
Your world is savvy
Virtuous and sturdy
Cut off this frail passion and repulsion
Empty my palette of envy

(This bird of qualm is in everyone. Sometimes I need to talk to her. Ask her to leave my window. Definitely she fueled my rant and then I made this painting and this poem)

Perhaps distantly related to Poe's raven.
Good to "clear the palette" in this way, too.
With your voice
and your hand
and your
soul shines through.

A sweet #10 for you! :)
Very well done Bhawanna
I love the expression of the young woman in the sketck. It is so deep that I can look and look.
But there is you wonderful poem that explores your deepest emotions and in so doing also ours.
Bird of qualm. What a description. It says so much.
I knw one thing, that if you felt envy it would be how I feel envy. A recognition of wonder and a desire to emulate that wonder in the smallest way.
OK I say it...I'm overcome by the words.
Great artwork also, my friend!
Your capacity to envision a totem bird with whom to speak and pour out your envious feelings is a testament to your creative personality, personal ingenuity and a faith in your highly developed visual intelligence.
