"Seasonal Hues"
Wintertime
paints in such profound whites and blacks.
Yesterday morning,
the snow had covered my birdhouse roof with a gloriously new white shroud.
By noon,
the ground was blanketed in unblemished whiteness.
In late evening,
furious flakes forbade my seeing of the shrouded roof; and the covered ground.
****
Today,
the shroud is gone; as is the snow.
Though yesterday evening's fury
of blinding white darkness frightened me away from my window,
This morning's sunshine
wooed me back to the transparent pane; glistening with signs of spring.
Springtime
paints with such pretty shades of vermeil, green, yellow and blue.
