Last night I took some photos of the eclipse. All of these pictures were taken with a NikonD70S, most of them cropped, resized and watermarked. At the beginning, there was a haze around the moon.
Here is another:
and another:
Then the moon begins to look like someone has bitten into it:
Here is the progression of the eclipse:
A close up of the last one:
A bit of a Shadow of a moon
and then it began to show red tones:
I didn't have a tripod set up so some are a little shaky.
And another.
Crossing over to the other side.
and last.
I hope you enjoyed my photos of the lunar eclipse.

Layla, I know what you mean as I should have taken the last one of the moon on the other side while it was out this morning but I couldn't bring myself to go outside.
Carrie, I think your icon is so cute. Glad to share.
Mariana, I had class last night and I was afraid I was going to miss it. We were let out early. I had my camera with me anyway. The eclipse didn't start until after 8P.M. and went on through until after 10P.M.
Lisa, I stopped by and saw your photos and I really like the one you are displaying as your icon.
You are so welcome Elsie. I hope you get settled in soon.
You're welcome Jane.
Michelle, We were lucky that the clouds stayed to the side. Thank you.
thanks for you nice comments too...
cheers,gayle

Good for you for being out there.
I wimped out because it was so cold here.
Thank you for sharing them!
I only saw the very beginning of the eclipse before going to bed
