American Idol - The Guys

I watched the fist season of American Idol and since then I have not watched it at all. That all changed last night. Curiosity got the better of me when I flipped to my local Fox station. I was amazed at some of the guys they had on the show.

Normally, I am very picky about the musicians I listen to. If I don't see happy facial expressions (regardless of how good their voice is) on a face when someone is performing that greatly impacts my opinion. If you don't look happy, that tells me you don't enjoy performing.

The first guy that had my ears perking up was Robbie Carrico. I could tell in his performance last night that he was having a blast. He has an amazing voice, and is the quintessential rocker on this year's show!

The only other person last night that caught my attention was Michael Johns. He really had fun with his performance and has a stellar vocal range.

My only hope is that the ladies performing tonight live up to these two men. I believe that the bar has been set and truly wish the ladies well tonight. I will be watching the ladies performances tonight and will write my opinions here tomorrow.  We shall see who remains after Thursday's show, which you can bet I'll be watching!
