Are You Watching American Idol?

Well, it's that time again.. the new season of American Idol is underway, the auditions (aka train wreck parade) are officially over and the new crop of contestants are performing their little hearts out every week trying to be the next American Idol...are you watching? have you picked a favorite yet? Did you vote?

I have been watching sporadically, when I can.. there are some very talented people this year.. I can't pick a favorite yet. There are several that I think really have a great shot..so it may get pretty heated. There are no William Hungs in this batch.. nobody passed through with questionable talent. Though there is already some drama with a couple of the contestants, including something with Carly Smithson. I'm not sure what it is, but I heard rumors of something going on.

On a side note, there are apparently false rumors circulating the internet that William Hung was found dead 2 days ago of a heroin overdose... I read that and freaked, but rumor was started by this site.. a satirical news site.. and it's all over now. I couldn't find one legitimate news source, like Yahoo or MSN, etc that carried the story, so I am assuming it's untrue, as many others have said.

Tonight the guys performed..and turned in some pretty impressive performances. I especially liked Luke, David Archuleta, Michael Johns and I loved Jason Castro too.. and I really liked Garrett Haley too, despite the judges saying he was boring and Simon kinda laid him out in typical Simon fashion.. Then again, maybe you shouldn't go by me, since it's hard to really hear or care what he's singing when you look into those pretty blue eyes of his. LOL Dayum, there are a couple pretty, pretty boys this year.. I have a thing for guys with pretty blue eyes.. makes me wish I was a couple decades younger LOL

I like the African-American woman who lost her voice but still belted it out for her last audition. It must've hurt like hell to sing but she did it anyway and did an awesome job. Just wish I could remember her name!

I've never watched "American Idol" before tonight. I was flipping channels about halfway through the show, and watched the kid who sang "Jailhouse Rock," and was slammed by Simon. I was about to shut it off, but THEN I saw Luke, the hot carpet cleaner. Whoa! OK, I think I'll keep watching!! :) :) I thought the judges were really hard on him. He made me swoon. I also really liked Jason, the kid with the dreadlocks and the guitar. He was really good. I still have an hour left to vote, and I'm REALLY tempted to vote for those two guys I mentioned, but I'm thinking since I didn't get a chance to see all the performances I won't. I'll see how it plays out, and if I'm still into the show later, I might join the bandwagon and vote. I hope I get to see some of tomorrow's show.

Yep..those are two that I think are hot too.. woohooo.. LOL oh..and I like their voices too.. lol it is addicting once ya start watching it.. and voting makes it so much more fun. :O)

W have The X Factor here in the UK and before it we had Pop Idol, the show that started the genre. I always lose interest after the audition rounds when the idiots and the zero talents are gone.

I am very impressed this season- I almost did not watch after last year. David (the 17 year old) was awesome- he has my vote- just amazing. I did not watch the girls tonight- but will tune in tomorrow for the vote off.
