Orchid World--Part 2

For those of you who just can't get enough orchids, I thought I would share some more of the wonderful orchids that we saw.  I took these photos with my Sony Handycam. 

The area around Orchid World is cane fields as is most of the interior of the island.

The grounds are nestled on a ridge and there are some lovely grottos where the orchids grow outside. 

Each kind of orchid had it's own personality.  These white beauties were almost angelic looking.

While these little purple chaps seemed to bare their teeth.

These speckled flowers had an elegant air.

While these sunny blooms just made me smile.

Who could choose just one favorite?

I guess that's how the owners of Orchid World ended up with 20,000 plants.

Pretty photos. I really like that speckled red variety.

I can barely keep easy to care for house plants alive. So I won't be tending any orchids any time soon.
