                                             Mountain

                                      Snow draping rock

                                      Silent, solid, alone

                                    Majestic in icy repose

                        Melts dripping into our own reflection

                            Used white paper littering floor

                                Welded by wasted tears

                                    Loud cries crumble

                                          Mountain

Mary, "Mountain" is beautiful. The ageing, sliding snowcap as movement against rigidity is superb. I loved reading your end of winter rictameter delight. Thank you for posting it.

Thank you, Mary for this wonderful poem. I see the snow draping rock as grey hair falling down a rigid brow. I see the mountain as someone feeling time weigh them down. Nice work.

I liked this line, 'Melts dripping into our own reflection.' This line seems the turning point from youth to the sorrow of lost youth.
