Just a quick peek at the area around our house covered in lovely fresh snow!
This is the official front of our house...typically only used by the mailman lol. That lovely young maple in the front yard gives great shade in the summer. I never thought I'd live in a pink house (not my favorite color by a long shot lol) but the house was perfect for our rental needs at the time and has plenty of perks.

this is the side yard where peonies, roses, buttercups, and as of last year, vine tomatoes grow against the house. Those tomatoes Loved growing with the roses and did well, continuing to produce even after the first frost!

This is the "back" yard of the house with the frozen pool and deck. You can see the empty framework of our pavillion covered in snow like the frozen skeleton of a tent. Those pines are great singers and start the beginning of the Standing Choir that cups the back loop of our road as seen below...

The neighbor's tree across the street has taken some damage, yet something lovely remains in the way his branches caress the face of the house.

this is the little playground that sits in the center of the loop made by our street. Empty now, come summer it will be teeming with kids of all ages. I'm glad it's surrounded by gaurdrails though. People fly through here all too often.

Another neighbor's tree, it looked so lovely frosted with snow.

And there is the Gray Lady that I snap photos of so often.

And this is the road I walk to reach the subway that takes me to work. That lovely maple gave up one of it's bird nests for me this fall. And that's it, a quick look at the immediate neighborhood. Hard to believe with this lighting that it was 11 am! These were actually taken the day after all this snow fell. I got to see it before the snow plows came around and the serenity was breathtaking.
