Taste of Home's Light & Tasty Annual Recipes 2002
2002 Reiman Publications Hard Back ISBN:0898213266
These annuals have all the recipes from the previous years issues of the Light and Tasty Magazines. All nutritional information is included. There are also lots of color photos all through this one. I do enjoy many of Taste of Home's family of magazines and these are my favorites so I'm delighted when I find one of the annuals. I think Mom found this one for me at a yard sale.
Instead of being divided into months like the Cooking Light Annuals this book is divided into categories that are included in each issue of the magazine. As with the Cooking Light annuals it's nice to have a year's worth of magazine recipes in one place instead of stacks of magazines laying around.
Since I wanted to make a sweet treat for Valentine's Day but not blow my progress on Weight Watchers I choose to make Marbled Chocolate Cheesecake Bars from this book. I was delighted when I figured out the points before beginning the recipe. It came to 2 points per serving. After I baked them and cut them into the suggesting serving size of 48 bars, I became a bit disappointed since there was only a bite in each one, two if you take really dainty bites. They were still good and I put aside 4 points so I could have 2 instead of one on Valentines day. They were best of course hot from the oven. I took some to work two days in a row to share so I wouldn't be tempted to have more than I should.
If you'd like to see a copy of these delicious little bars go to:

I think the bars look bigger in the picture than mine turned out but they sure were good.

Victoria, I love your comment and how you and your sister highlight recipes you try and share the mags. My sister sent me a sub. to Rachael Ray's magazine for my birhtday last year. I got a free year of Food and Wine from some unused frequent flyer miles and I share those mags with her. We also share Gourmet and Bon Appetit on occasion and have shared some of the TOH mags. I need to give her some more of the ones I have annuals for. Thanks for the reminder and the great comment.
Shannon, sorry you weren't impressed with the magazine. I've tried quiet a few recipes that I've enjoyed from there but I guess they aren't for everyone. In fact if all our tastes were exactly alike what a boring world it would be.
Marianne. Thanks for your nice comment too. I hope you enjoy the site.
