This is so beautiful! I love the color red and the red in your pictures is so vibrant. I want to take a bite out of those strawberries and roll around in the rose petals. First I have to make sure that Ina forgives me.
Thanks, everyone! I've been running around trying to catch up on connections and it's lovely to return to these responses.

Marilee, yes, those are hand rolled truffles---several different flavors with different coatings.
Marianne, thank you for the feature. I appreciate it.
Katrina, sorry. Try to imagine that it was Your Luncheon!
W- I am still enjoying my 'tinis with you in mind.
Marilee, yes, hand rolled truffles because that is the only way I know to make them. Hah. It really is easy and not too time consuming if you are not making dozens. I like the ease of preparation actually more than, let's say, creme brulee or flan or something with more steps. And you can always tell what flavor a well made truffle is because it's coating should carry a hint like a fleck of apricot if that is inside or chipped/sliced hazelnut if that fills it...so simple!
Oh...those plump rasberries are tempting...and the color coordinating table setting and courses...with champagne are enough to get my libido going. Donna, I made the tomatoe gallette and took a picture. I will post it soon. A belated happy Valentines day to you and a round of enthusiastic applause for this beeuuteefull article!
I just left Sonia's Chinese New Year's photo essays, filled with red-garbed dancers, red umbrellas, red banners and red dragons... and came to this luscious dishes of red strawberries and raspberries... I need red FOOD!
Those red and white tulips are just plain elegant, Madame D... Sigh. Maybe spring is coming our way, too!
Thank you very much, Cristina. I would love to be in San Francisco. I hope you have some time to run around also while you are there for the conference.

I would adore some of those raspberries right about now...
I have been in San Francisco for a few days now, attending a workshop on autism. But San Diego is still too far away to pop by for breakfast (sigh)!
