Namespace Gone and Unable to Upload Images.!

I'm not sure if this is just me or everyone here... but yesterday all day long my namespce was a blank page and the header said Under Construction. Also the homepage of Gather would not load! It'd just keep refreshing a blank page!

Today I can get into the site (a plus from yesterday) but my namespace is still "under construction"

Anyone else seeing this? By the way, this has happened after I cleared cache, and after I had logged off for the day yesterday it's still happening. It also happened in both Firefox and IE.

I also am not able to publish images. In order to get the screen cap here I had to host it offsite.

It's happening all over Gather. You aren't the only one! Hope it's fixed soon and things here get back to normal!

I'm not having any problems but apparently, many are. Tom Gerace has addressed the issue. They're working on it. They have to reboot or refresh their servers or something like that. I guess that means you have to hang in there and wait til it's back up and running smoothly.

Also I cannot edit articles, ALL icons (mine and everyone's) are missing as are images in photo essays I did before.

I also cannot access my inbox! Yikes! In fact I'm now getting 404's all over on Firefox. I had to go to IE to even see the responses here! Uggh.

Thanks all good to know it's not just my ISP server or loopy PC. I suppose I'll have to busy myself elsewhere, huh?

Jennifer, see Tom's update today. Sounds like your server hasn't picked up the corrected gather information yet and is still trying to use the information it has cached.

Most of us had this problem and, mine at least, is back to normal.

I'm still having problems too. I cannot access the site at all with AOL. I am able to access it with Internet Explorer, but I keep getting knocked off the site every 5 minutes or so. I am also having trouble commenting.

Seems like there's a lot to work around today in Gatherland. As long as it's not just me I can handle that.

I'm only able to get in for a few minutes at a time. Then I get kicked out of the site and can't get back in for a while again. I hope they hurry and get it fixed. I miss gather!

I thought they were workingon something yesturday because my e,mails from Gather had the little 'x' in the corner. Then this morning I could not see any photos on the site. They all had little x's in them!! It's working for me now though...

This site has been a mess since yesterday. I can sometimes get on and other times get 404 errors still. I currently cannot publish anything, but do see my namespace content just fine.

I was having the exact same problem! Right now it's working ok, but for how long...I don't know. I did get an email from MaryAnne Flynn, director of member services, and she said that the problem was resolved this morning.
Keep reporting it!

Everybody had probs of one kind or another. There was a message about it today on Gather's main page. I couldn't get the site to even load, so I went to bed early!

I've been off and on last 3 days. In fact I've been trying to get on most of the past 3 days.. and only successfully got on a total of 30 minutes.

Hopefully my being on now means things are getting back to normal?

I'm going through Gather withdrawals! LOL!
