Most people who are involved in doing surveys online, or who are members of some services like MyPoints, have probably at one time or another been asked to do a survey through Greenfield Online surveys. They run their own surveys, and you can join their panel and get invitations to take them, and they also contract out with places like Mypoints to get people to take surveys. I usually don't bother trying to qualify for them anymore, because I never have managed to qualify, but just for answering the first few qualifying questions you get an entry into the sweepstakes, even if you don't qualify. It makes no sense to me to have to take a whole survey when all you'll get is a sweepstakes entry, if you can get the sweepstakes entry without doing it. Especially when you never qualify anyway. So, anyway, today I got an invite from them that was actually for a survey for money.. a whole dollar!! Well, it ain't much, but for answering a few questions, i'll take a dollar for free...so I decided to try and qualify for this one for real. I began clicking on the buttons, and to my surprise it wasn't giving me the "We're sorry, but you don't qualify" screen of death.. it was actually asking questions about cars.. what makes and models come to mind, when do I plan to purchase a new vehicle, which are my top 5 choices for a new vehicle, am I aware of services like OnStar and LoJack.. it just kept going on, progressing from question to question, and I was amazed.. and then ..there it was.. the 'We're sorry, but you don't qualify" screen of death WTH!!! Those were screener questions? I had just answered a whole bunch of questions, not your typical qualifying questions either. They got a fair amount of information out of me..and then NUTHIN!! That was a big fat waste of my time, not to mention a ripoff. I won't be taking any more surveys from them, I can guarantee ya that!
Have they..or any other survey company,..done that to you?

Another egregious offender in this way is Global Test Market; if you hear from them, delete without answering.
In order to have good statistical data, screening is necessary. I have to agree, though, there should be a limit to the number of questions for "screening" ... and if the number exceeds that, a partial credit of the full amount. Most surveys, as rated (the amount of time they think it will take to complete the actual survey, not screening portion) make about $7 an hour. It isn't high pay. For me, the "sweepstakes" is just a comeon.
Thanks.
But I still qualify a lot for Greenfield surveys. Usually the screening is quite long, then often times leads to a longer interactive survey which might take an hour or 90 minutes. In order to get the survey panel they want, they have to do that much screening. I find the same thing with local in-person survey panels. They'll call on the phone to ask me if I might be interested in a panel paying $50, $75, $100, then go through a series of 25 or more questions, only to tell me I don't qualify.
I don't get that upset, though, about the screening questions. I understand the nature of the business. What does bug me is that Greenfield takes the longest to get the money you've earned to you.
In the old days, I used to earn about $400-600 a year at Greenfield. Now it's half that much.
I have found this to be a great site for free surveys. You take surveys at no cost to you, build up points and when you want to be paid you just email someone and they send your cash fast! It is not a scam since I am on the panel myself and received my money when I wanted to be paid out. Also, you will qualify for most of the surveys. I have been a member for years and they are always willing to answer any questions you have with a quick response! I recommend this to everyone.
Surveys are the easiest and fastest way to start making money online.

I made some dollars from Greenfield several years ago - then they told me they were not doing surveys in Australia anymore and would advise me when they recommenced.
I recently joined Ciao, have commenced half a dozen surveys and been screened out after completing half the survey - this seems to be the common problem with everyone here, so I think I will give Greenfield a blast and then give them the flick ( may even also lodge a complaint with our Federal Office of Fair Trading ), as you have.
Thank you everyone for your very helpful input.
Cheers...^0^
Responding a year later...lol
Found your post after googling to see if anyone has actually HAD success with Greenfield. I signed up for about 5 different survey sites the other day to see if I could actually make any profits. The thing about Greenfield is that I'm receiving survey invites often, but can't actually access the survey. I go to a link and it confirms that it is indeed me, but then the page never ever loads. Fun Fun. They try to tell me I have spyware, but that's not the case. Anyone else had this problem?
In my search for survey sites, I came across a prize system called SwagBucks, which I seem to be having success with, and it's fun too (maybe even a little addicting). Anyway, they give you digital dollars randomly when searching using their engine rather than google. There's more ways to earn as well like code hunts, inviting friends, and commenting on blogs. These swagbucks can then be cashed in for a variety of gift cards and/or music "swag." If interested, check it out: http://swagbucks.com/refer/KatieKins
I've been on this site for less than a week and already have 30 swagbucks, just to give you an idea. Neat site, give it a try. More productive than Greenfield for sure! :)
