Yes, you read it right. At our house we love balls! Over the summer of 2007 we were given a free turtle from a friend. The idea was that we should fill it with sand. The thought of sand made me cringe, because we all know how that stuff gets stuck in cracks and crevices and may never come out. If it does come out, it always happens all over my carpet and kitchen floors.
So my husband came up with an idea about BALLS. (Rainbow colored balls to fill the tub.) The idea was wonderful and it kept our kids entertained for hours during the summer time! We piled it full and put it under a shade tre

Here is my son, Aidan, in the tub of balls. He has also simultaneously discovered that he has a BELLY BUTTON.
This was a big discovery day for him!!!

Here is my little slugger again. We are hoping one day he might be the next St. Louis Cardinal pitcher!
Then of course there is little Ms. Princess herself. She refused to have baby brother in the turtle with her at photo time. I guess it is just not cool enough to be in the new turtle if Aidan is tagging along. So she got her time to shine too.

So here is Maddie posing by herself in the turtle!

Great Photo essay.
I'll always regret that there weren't ball pits when I was growing up. I think I've bought about 3 of them for different grandkids. They don't last very long. The turtle sandbox was a great idea.
Oh the belly button discovery, also genius.
For the last 2 years, when it is time to take down the kiddie pool outside we relocate it to the basement and fill it with balls for the kids to play with all winter long. They LOVE it!
They're so great, Monica. I'm glad you figured out your camera problem. :)
