The gays simply ADOPTED the label. "Call us names, will you? We'll steal it!" It's like women calling themselves Bitches and meaning, "Don't mess with us!"

I have no objection to people having their religions. I just object to being told by followers of one particular religion that what they believe is the truth and we must all accept it.

That's why some black/African Americans think they can do by using the "n word" (calling your self a bitch doesn't denote a racial slur).
