- Pacifiers. I saw a video as a teacher that kids use pacifiers to dip their drugs in like Met. The next day this kid is sitting in my class sucking on a pacifier and became beligerant when I told him to remove it. Now these pacifiers are being sold as candy, and of course it all may be quite innocent, but parents need to be aware.
- Colored contacts. These are used to cover their eyes so you can't see glassy eyes or red eyes. Also, change in dilation of pupil either large or small.
- Attitude change
- Weight change
- Academic change
- Use your nose: Smell your child. If they don't smell like your child, don't ignore the symptoms. I've actually had to change a student's seat because the smell of chemicals was so strong.
- Laziness and giddiness
Of course these are just a few, but over the years I have seen these be the warning signs I've called for help. I've not been wrong. If you suspect drugs, don't wait.
