My Boomertowne advise to you

I posted this in a different article. I thought I would share it with those of you who haven't seen it yet.

It takes me a little over an hour to make 1500 points. It gets very boring, but it pays off.
What I do is:
Rate 4 pages of quotes
Rate 7 pages of jokes
Rate 10 pages of recipes
Click on 20 mytowne pages
Click on 20 expert videos
That should get you about 600 points, (because you already get 25 for logging in, and 1 point for each unique page you view)
Then request about 6 pages of friends, and post messages on about 5 pages of friends or until you reach 1500. Oh, and make sure you go to the chat rooms and say something twice there, it doesn't matter if anyone else is there, you still get 100 points for it. The points for the chat room will show up the next day.

I know it seems like it will take a long time, but if you have the latest version of Internet Explorer or Firefox, just hold ctrl down while you are clicking on several different links, (like when you are doing the mytowne stuff) and it goes really fast.

100 points for the chat? Did they change that it was 15 before I believe.

How do you rate 4 pages of quotes? It only allows me to do 3 and 7 of recipes.( I guess it doesn't want me to get that many points lol)

Also what does the control button do when you hold it down? I have never tried that.

I've never held down to control button either. Can you explain it again? I didn't get it;(

When they changed the points and prizes, they also changed the amount of points you get for things. Click here to see the whole list.
I don't know why you are having trouble rating the quotes and recipes. Does it look like you already rated them or something?
The Control button opens a new tab in the background (if you have the latest version of IE or Firefox) this helps a LOT when messaging friends, because you can have 10 tabs on 10 different friends open. And while you wait for one to load, you can comment on the other ones.

I guess I'll be doing the chat everyday now. That is an easy 100 points.

I guess I'll have to try tomorrow to figure out the recipes and quotes. I know I am getting the max 100 points maybe more are showing up on the page for me.

Wow you have patience!!!! I can hardly stand taking the time to rate 1 page of anything lol. The only thing I like doing on their are the games..thats it!

To me the easiest way to post messages on friends profile it to go to "your message board" then hit "reply" to a message posted on your profile. it will bring you right to the person's message box. then hit "back" 2 times. then repeat down the list. it is alot faster than going to the "my friends page".......Also you can actually get about 230 points for clicking on the videos....once you click on the name of the video on the next page there is a gray box that says something like "watch this video" click that....you don't have to watch the video just click the box....it only takes me 45 minutes max to get my points...and that is while multitasking on other sites also....hope this helps

I think BT is a great place to get information as well as an easy way to earn gift cards. I have been able to get the 1500 points in about 30 minutes and I do pretty much the same thing that Jeff and Amanda do.

This is very similar to the pattern I follow on BT although I also have found that adding recommendations to a city under My Town is also a great way to get points. I add restaurants, events, etc. which is actually really fun and easy to do and it adds up pretty quickly. And I almost always have a ton of messages on my message board to answer so that is how I usually finish things up. And I make sure to do the chat for the 100 points there and it's been nice because I've gotten to know a few people that way as well :-) So I generally find my time on BT to be pretty enjoyable :-)

Oh wow, I didn't know about holding down control. I'll be sure to try this. I have used the chat but didn't know it still counted even if no one was in the room. Thanks so much.
