[For Keith Kalish, Stacey H., and all New York Giants fans -- here's some love to you, Babeees! . . . and for me too, because I am loving the hell out of this!]Â
For my connections, the poem is really a spoof of this song by Gil Scott-Heron, here
Â
Did you feel that rumble?
Did you hear that sound?
Well it wasn't no earthquake

<<<<<----------But it shook the ground
<<---Made me think about power
Like it or not. . .
Shut 'em down
If that's the only way to beat 'em
Shut 'em down!
<<----Shut 'em down!
<<---Shut 'em down!
<<---Shut 'em down!
If that's the only way to beat 'em
Shut 'em down!
I heard a lot about safeties and human errors
How they weren't goin' make it
It would take a wing and a prayer
If you need perfection
That's what it takes
Then you can't use PATSies
Don't use PATSies
<<<------You know PATSies make mistakes
Shut 'em down!Â
Then you can't use PATSies
Don't use PATSies
You know PATSies make mistakes
Shut 'em down!Â
Did you feel that rumble?
Did you hear that sound?
Well it wasn't no earthquake
But it shook the ground
Made me think about power
Like it or not. . .
Shut 'em down
Yeah. . .

They shut 'em DOWN!

PATSIES
18-1 RIP

Powerful Champs!!!!
Now what are you doing with my man?
The question is: Did I show you enough LOVE? Did I do you PROPER?
You had better say, "YES!"
excellent pictorial !
when all of the odds,
when the oddsmakers say you cannot, but you do. . .
you beat the odds,
you beat the naysayers
you beat them all --
you thumb your noses in their faces
you beat the so-called unbeatable
you beat the so-called best
THAT
is what much of this is all about --
it is about the underdog letting everyone know
I am the best!
Look at me NOW, Babies!
What me NOW!
I. . .AM. . .THE. . .BEST. . .
NOW. . .watcha got to say, mmmm?
They came into a contest with odds against them,
and beat every single team that supposed to beat them,
4 teams, Sheila, including 1 team that almost everyone was declaring
was "unstoppable".
I did not believe the team was unstoppable. In fact, I -- intuitively -- believed
that New York (at the SuperBowl) was going to be that so-called team's "Waterloo",
for they were a very arrogant and unscrupulous team, Sheila. A Vegas bet would
have been an idiot's bet, but I just had a feeling about it.
I did bet on it, (on New York) here at home. It turned out that I was correct.
My pocketbook was very happy about that. (haha!)
It is like the proverb: "Pride cometh before a fall."
They were bound to "get it." They were too arrogant.
Hey everybody. . . Keith Kalish
in the house!
Hello Keith! So that is the way it was in the City of Champions, was it!?
And you were there to partake in the celebration, were you?
How glorious!
Wish I had been there to party with you, for this was an event of events!
Congratulations again to you and to the New York Giants!
While I am at it, I want to holla again at New York City. . . holla at the
Bronx
Harlem,
Manhatt'n
Queens
Brooklyn
Staten Island,
Long Island,
Let's not forget the Tri-state area that supports the New York Giants as well!
. . .and for Heaven's sake I hope I didn't leave any of the boroughs out. . .
Congratulations to you ALL. . .
YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!
Brian,
donna, and
Don
(and yes, Don -- I know all too well how you feel about New England; tsk, tsk!)
Thanks for participating in this littl' Gather parteee.
haha!
I'm joining in even though I don't know about sports that much but I took at trip down nostalgia lane and watched a ton of old Peyton Manning commercials. Wow, did that guy make a lot of commercials. New article up, on the Beagle....Uno....a breed scorned for years and now having its moment. I'm not a huge fan of Beagles but I like to see underdogs win.
Girly Comments & Graphics
It AWESOME
I think Valentine's Day is a especially AWESOME day for Jo and Baiden.
It's a Day for Lovers, don't you think?
*************************************
You are the best.
Your article was a TRIP! ! ! I believe I added a link to it on another thread and I am still laughing about IT -- the THING, but I digress! I do believe though, that the THING was the "best", yes? haha!
Jeff,
Yes, so here is Jeff, at last. Hmmm.
Yes Jeff. It (the SuperBowl) is what all teams aspire to, and to go so far just to get there and blow it is the ultimate "botch job". However, I do not blame New England; I got a good look at their coach, and seeeee the problem; it is HE!
I have no further comment to make, except to say that HE blew it for his team, at the end when it counted he did not pull through.
Thanks for showing us NY'ers some love! Well done and we really DID shut 'em down!
And thanks for stopping by the latest article. I am still waiting for people to yell at me and say "Yes, you CAN do clickable links". No, I can not. Not with green eggs and ham. Not on a roof. Not on the floor. Not even if they tell me not to let the door hit me in the ...never mind.
It just goes to prove that outside of the Giants -- and this time I am referring specifically to Tom d., this time -- we woman always understand the philosophy of
being champions
Teee hee hee
See Tom d. talking about how he does not "get it"
Haha!
The superiour Cal Berkeley Grad Man --
Tee hee hee.
I rest my case!
he does not have any desire to "get it".
haha!
