3 % price hike on electricity in our area

Well, here we go again.  Everyday things are costing more and more.  We are on a fixed income and it is difficult.

I was just sitting here paying my bills when I saw the notice that our electric company was approved to raise our electricity 3%.  I am a very frugal person and know how to pinch a penny, but you can only pinch that penny so much.

We have had 2 75% hikes and 2 5% hikes in the past 2 years. We are getting another hike in June. Believe me I know where you are coming from.
