Walking
One foot forward
Eye to toe, toe to ground
Wind caresses sun touches cheek
Step stepping into the moment; breathe, breathe
Deer lifts its head, looks, rabbit runs
Crow flies into blue sky
Rocks skitter by
Walking
Into the door
Purple blossoms above
Blue eyes watching hands curled in lap
Sitting, silent, counting fingers broken
Breath stolen in between glances
Tomorrow she will go
Alone, outside
Walking

The "little girl" in you takes a moment to herself. Mine probably passed yours alone the way...
Such beauty everywhere. The "little girl" inside of each of us always sees and always embraces.
"Step stepping into the moment; breathe, breathe"
.....so beautiful
Thanks for posting it
Really beautiful and graceful and natural as breathing. Nicely measured and proportioned... like a round-trip.
Lovely picture to go with your poetry as well.
Writer is the hardest job--as you know. It's the job I always never wanted to have. Or maybe never always wanted to have. How does that go? Whether here nor there, it's a tough calling. You know I know.
Thanks so much,
Kate
