Dance of the Fey
In the dark velvet night
At the peak of Moon's flight
Dance the children of Earth and Sky
Tiny hands in hands clasped
Side stepping time's grasp
As the universe passes us by
The eve's soft music falls
With the Earth Mother's calls
In the beat of the Raven's wings
And the zephyr's sigh
And the wolf-coven's cry
And the song sister Nightingale sings
Calling Great Spirit's names
As we dance 'round the flames
While our souls climb skyward with ease
Then an upward glance
Would show this great dance
Mirrored over the tops of the trees
Now the New People sing
Of the mushroom rings
Which they find by the light of the day
This clear, simple sign
Which we must leave behind
Marks the place of the Dance of the Fey
