I am sure many of you heard about the terrible fire that broke out in Savannah last week.
Apparently there are still untold deaths and countless injuries that have resulted from this tragedy.
Did know that recent reports the U.S. Department of Labor issued new inspection guidelines for workplaces that handle combustible dust particles, including sugar dust. These dust particles are the suspect in the cause of this tragic incident. Places that emit a lot of dust and free particles have all been labeled as "hazardous locations," (the same classification as coal preparation plants and producers of plastics, medicines and fireworks)
Should there be more evasive action taken to prevent such tragedies from occurring at similar locations, like the refinery in Texas?
