As most of you know I started a new job on January 23rd.

The job was to be a 8am-5pm job.   Well, it is February 9th and I have not left work at 5pm yet.........

Now don't get me wrong, I love this job and I am not complaining.   But, I am a little tired.  I leave my house at 7:10 am for the 30 minute drive, I allow a little extra time because I never know about traffic and I don't usually get home till around 6pm or shortly after.

I just wanted to let all of my connections know I am not gone, but by 6pm all I want is a shower some supper and a little relaxing.

In addition to the added work hours, my husband was very sick with the flu this past week.   I tried to get him to go to the hospital on Tuesday, he was having trouble breathing.  I had hospital orientation on Monday and the flu was the big topic,  it is causing deaths and this really scared me.  They also explained the difference between the common cold and the flu and he fit the description of the flu.   I was really scared. 

Bottom line is please don't forget me and I will try to get on the computer more once I get more use to my job.

I know exactly how you are feeling! Between work and school I never have enough time or energy for much else. I've been gone from gather for about 3 weeks and trying to catch up a little tonight. I spent my day doing homework! :(

I hope your husband feels better soon! My son has been so sick with the flu since Wednesday too! It is awful! I am glad I got my flu shot so I only had to fight a mild case of it this week. It still tried to get me despite the shot! grrr!

We'll miss you... so try to come by when you can to say hi!

Take it easy while you adjust. I'll be thinking of your husband. Flu is very widespread this year and I just read that the flu shot is not providing as much protection because it is a different flu virus than the vaccine was made from.

Sorry I'm a bit late getting here, Pam. I hope by now your husband is feeling better and is over the flu. Grandpa has the flu right now too. Mom called me I think Monday night maybe to tell me. Monday or Sunday. He's been sick for two weeks I think.

I'm glad you like your new job. Sorry the hours are not what you expected, but I hope it all settles out soon. So, this is why I haven't seen you on here much lately. I haven't been on much myself for different reasons. Hope you continue to like your job!

I am sorry that I am just now getting to this article. I have been very sick and still not doing well. I have not been online much at all. I have been tryint to go my boomertowne though. You really should join it. I sent you an invitation. I have been a member about 2 1/2 weeks and have already received one $25 gift card, ordered another and will have enough for another one by the middle of the week.

I do hope you are all feeling better soon.
