White Bean Chicken Chili

I made this for dinner tonight, using Lindy T.'s excellent White Bean Chicken Chili recipe, with a few additions. You can access her recipe here: http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977191155

Lindy T's White Bean Chicken Chili with Marianne M's additions
 
2 quarts fat-free chicken broth
chopped onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 small can chopped green chiles
1 small can HOT chopped green chilies
1 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons parsley
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1-3 dashes of Tabasco sauce (or to your taste, I used about 1/4 tsp.)
3 boneless chicken breasts, baked, cooled, cubed
4 (15 oz.) cans great northern beans, drained
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
carrots, cut in thin slices
 
In a large pot, add first five ingredients.  Cook until very hot.  Add beans, corn, carrots, spices, and Tabasco sauce.  Bring to a boil.  Add chicken.  Simmer 30 minutes.

Thanks, Alison. This should be perfect for tonight. The temp is supposed to go down to about 10 degrees BELOW zero!!!!

Whoa, that IS cold! Here, the kids missed their Saturday ski bus trip because the passes are closed; high avalanche danger, with all the snow! Here in the lowlands, it's mild and cloudy....

This would certainly wake up any person's taste buds. I love good hot chili. Your choice of bean is interesting, since it is usually used in milder dishes.
