BestBuy Rant...a long one!

Last week I went and bought another Samsung Camera in Best Buy, I have a few cameras, each with it's own feature that I like. I went in and saw this open box with the brand I was looking for , the guy told me that is was in new condition and have never been used//nothing wrong with it.

Last Night I went on an investiagation and took my new Samsung, along with the Nikon. I go home about midnight and check my pics..they are red(not the NIKON), they are grainy..wth..I figure let me take it back and exchange it for another camera in that class.

WELL>>>>let me tell you, they ticked me off. The guys brings it to the GEEK Squad in the back. He comes out and tells me nothing is wrong..and I can exchange it ..with a restocking fee..WHAT. I start to flip out, I am a mild mannered person being pushed over the edge. First of all ..noone is showing me that this camera is good- what kind of scam are they running. I show him the pictures I printed and this YOUNG" manager "girl comes over and starts the BS ...I really freak out.

She tried to tell me it was my printer, I told I would come back with the disc of pictures. She tries to tell me..what would that prove, how do I know what camera took it. I quickly told her that all the GEEK Squad would have to do was click on properties and they could tell what camera brand took it. I started letting ALL of the customers around me know that they sold me a known defective camera and was now trying to scam me on a restocking fee.

I was not taking that, why should I . I yelled out loudly..that their salesman assured me that this was a never used camera, and that only the box had been open..btw..I didn't get any discounts on it...I had paid full price.

She thinks she is slick, she then tells me that they can only exchange it for the same one..Well I can't get the same one and she knew that, it was a return from BestBuy's website that had been returned to their store by someone else. I go over to cameras and wait, and wait. Finally a salesgirl comes over and I tell them my tale..again. A customer comes over to me and tells me I made up his mind on that store, that he had a gut feeling not to buy any cameras from this scamming company.

After 45 minutes, they finally agreed to let me exchange for another one. Then they go..it has to the same megapixels...well not too many cameras in there, at that price, were 7.2 megapixels..infact there was none. I felt the rage coming on, I said firmly that the Kodak one had slightly less but was similar. Again she checks with the "manager". They take the new one over to the customer service for the exchange and has he is ringing it up..a 15.00 fee pops up..I begin to be loud again....he runs over to the "manager" and then takes it off.

Now I have spent thousands in this Best Buy alone, I have hardly returned anything there...I might have to reconsider any future purschases from them and I am letting the main company know of my experience..now here is a kicker...the guy didn't mark it as defective..they are putting it out on the self again..for the third sucker.
