AM I CRAZY???

So I was sitting here thinking that I am a 36 year old woman with two small children. Am I nuts or what? It just happened for me later in life than most. My children are 4 and almost 2. I have a daughter named Madison Lynn. She is the 4 year old. My son, who is one and a half, is named Aidan Blake. I love my little sweeties, but sometimes they wear their poor mommy out. I was thinking that it may be because of my age. Although, I am sure that women in their twenties get worn out with their kids also. I know alot of women have children in the twenties and some of them even in their teens. So what are your thoughts on this? What age did you have children? Are their any other Moms out there my age (36) that have small children too?

My son was born when I was 25, my dt. when I was 29.. i wouldn't say your crazy altho i can understand why they tire you out.. however there is a lot to be said with having children later in life.. wisdom and all that! They are adorable and your doing a great job!!

I had mine in my 20s ... but I'm sure the added years of life experience more than make up for the bit less energy factor :)

I had our first when I was 29 (right before my 30th birthday) and my second when I was 31. They are 21 months apart. At ages 4 and 2 years it takes a lot out of you. But good news they are getting older and can do more on their own with you being able to sit and relax a bit.
Once you get past the trouble two and the theatrical threes you will be sitting pretty and able to take time for yourself and you can put them in a activity and let someone else wear them out. Hang in there!

My mother had my sister when she was twenty-nine, and I was born when Mom was thirty-three.

My husband has 10 kids, born between his age of twenty (one?) and forty-five. I'm not kidding! ;-)
Hey, I just turned fifty and would still have one today if I could. Sure it is tiring but there are so many rewards, and when my son was a child the circumstances did not allow for me to be my personal best. I'd really like a chance to do it "right." I think it's tiring, no matter how old one is. I was twenty-one when my son was born.

I was 45 and my ex 40 when we had the last. His closest sibling was 22 years his senior.

I had my first when I was 21 and my last when I was 38. To this day, they still drive me crazy, especially my 14 yr old !!!!!! LOL I get tired trying to deal with my daughter's drama, but I still love her and wouldn't trade it for anything!!!!!!!!!

Children suck the life out of you no matter what your age is!!!
My daughter is 17 and I had her at 22........I was always tired. My sons were born when I was 31 and 36 and let me tell you that last one will be the death of me yet!! I'm still tired and waiting till they grow up to get rest!!! LOL...I will be 40 in June so I've made this far!!
I really wish we were neighbors!!LOL! I was 25 with Kyle and 35 with Carlie and for some reason I thought it would be easier with that gap but now I wish I would have had them both at 25 and they would both be 13 and maybe I could get some sleep!! LOL!

36 isn't very old at all...

I happen to know loads of people who had kids over 40 - ok this is California but 36 isn't old in my opinion - I mean I was a kid at 36 - didn't have any - but being childfree is fine with me. Enjoy your kids - you're young! SAlud.

My five kids came between when I was 22 (just) and 37 (almost, one month shy). Youngest is eight years old now. I'm growing less tired as he grows older. ;-) I find the hard years are when I'm lugging them all over and buckling their seat belts and changing their diapers, you know the drill.

Oh Honey...I had my son when I was 32, a month before graduation from law school and two months before the Bar exam...then my daughter didn't come along until a few months before my 40th birthday. He's graduating from college now and she's just starting high school and NOW I feel old!Dealing with her blossoming hormones as mine are shortcircuiting is the pits. 36 isn't old....you'll find there are lots of parents in your age group. And I think we made better parents because of it. What we lost in physical flexibility we made up for in mental acuity. Age and skill will always overcome youth and energy...and we really need to out-think those little dickenses!

Thank you guys for reminding me that 36 isn't old for having kids! I think I was having a "feeling old and tired and like my body is falling apart moment" and now I am energized and ready to go again. Maybe is was just the motivation I needed to get myself back onto the treadmill and getting myself into shape again. But just for the record...............2 is ENOUGH.

I'm 29 now with three kids aged 8 1/2, 6 and 2 (3 in March!) and they wear me out daily! lol. Crazy me wants more kids someday... maybe in a few yeras if the time is right or at the very least I may check into adtoption or foster parenting.

I had my last one at 32. He just turned 19 yesterday. At the time, I thought "am I nuts or what?" But little did I know that God had a perfect plan for my life. My husband passed away from cancer when 2 years ago when my children were 25, 22, and the last one was 16. If I hadn't had him when I did, I would be all alone now. Trust me. There is a reason for everything. Hang in there. These are the good old days and you don't realize it till there gone!
