This is my first presidential election... I just turned 19 in December.
I come from a very political family, and I've been following politics since I was 10, participating (by helping pass petitions, passing out info on candidates and the such, and other miscellaneous stuff) since I was 12 years old.
Early in the race, I decided that Huckabee had my vote. This was no snap decision. I looked carefully at the things he supported and compared them with my own personal views. He is the only candidate that aligned almost completely.
So how thrilled do you think I was when, in chapel this morning, the president of my university announced that Mike Huckabee would be visiting our campus tomorrow for a Rally.
Now, I'm going to be honest. I never thought that in my life, let alone my first election, I would get to attend any rally, especially one for the candidate I support.
But not only do I get to attend this rally, I am only a walk across the parking lot away from the rally.
This is an amazing thing that has been thrust at me, and I am so thankful that I live in a society where we can elect the people we see fit, and that we can have rallies like this one to show our support for the candidates we love.

But Huckabee was my choice too. He stands for the moral values that I stand for. He would make a good one if nominated. But that is a big if right now. Depends on who Romney gives his delegates to. Huckabee still can win if he gets Romney's delegates.
I'm NOT going to be pleased if Obama or Hilary get in office, and will be VERY happy that not long after I will hopefully get to go away to germany for awhile. (not four years, though, unfortunately).
