ARKANSAS - No Surprises Here

Hillary Clinton has won the Democratic primary.

Mike Huckabee has won the Republican primary.

I doubt anyone is surprised. What will be very interesting is if they face each other in the Presidential election. Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

Was there a crowd at the polling place? Was it a heavy turnout?
From West Oz, all this seems very remote ... but who is the next President will impact globally. I can but hope that a Bush by another name doesn't get elected.

Janet and Dannielle - Huckabee took it with 62% of the vote (McCain took 20% and Romney took 13%). Clinton took it with 73% (Obama took 24%). The polling places did see a higher than expected turnout.

Ruth - I haven't looked at the news yet but it does seem this thing is still very close.

Magi - you are entirely correct - the outcome of this will have a global impact.

Duckie - thanks for the concern - we are fine. I think the tornadoes touched down on the other side of the state.

Rose - Ok - I will admit to not being a newshound so I will have to go read further about that.

I'm glad you guys are okay. I thought about you a lot last night. Wish I'd known you weren't in the areas affected by the tornadoes. But I'm glad you weren't. I worried about your horses and animals too.

Regardless of party, neither of these people would be my choice for president.

But we've faced this dilemma before.
