Why now?
Snow collapses
As temperatures climb
On ground living in filtered light
To keep the promise of spring growth alive--
For life to sally forth renewed
Into fresh, fragrant air
Why leave me now?
Why now?

Bang on, Anne. A needless lament in the scheme of things.
WE are waiting for your best article :)
I can relate to that, Jason. I bought my house to be just below the snow line. Normally I can look out and see that line--quite pretty really. Periodically, though, I'm right in the middle of it; usually, it only lasts several days. Thank you for the compliment.
You just made me smile, Marianne. Those are the poles of the rictameter. Thank you.
Thank you, Sheila.
And I love this form of poetry!
Just count the syllables right?
Your Friend
CoffeeLady
Why now?
Maybe
Sun?
I hope it lasted only for the time of the poem's loss, CoffeeLady; such it was only meant to be.
Of course, Cristina. Kind of requiting cabin fever. LOL. ;-)
