It's rather ironic that I read this poem just as 30 Seconds to Mars new video for their song, "A Beautiful Lie" came on. The video was filmed in Iceland and is about raising awareness for global warming and the fact that one fourth of the arctic ice shelf has disappeared since the song was released just two years ago.

I've seen some of the receding glacier pictures, Jason. Frightening, actually.

I can relate to that, Jason. I bought my house to be just below the snow line. Normally I can look out and see that line--quite pretty really. Periodically, though, I'm right in the middle of it; usually, it only lasts several days. Thank you for the compliment.
