Lauren Stillwell is an attractive, successful NYPD detective who is happily married until she sees her husband going into a hotel with a beautiful, young, blonde woman. Stung by his betrayal, Lauren arranges a "quickie" with another man.
What begins as a one night stand turns deadly, when she witnesses a brutal murder. Suddenly, Lauren is plunged into a maelstrom of betrayal, deceit, suspense, and terror. She is forced to make choices that may compromise her ethics or destroy her marriage.
The plot thickens with every page. Complications abound. At no time can the reader breathe a sigh of relief. The tangled web becomes increasingly knotted and Lauren finds herself in mortal danger more than once. There are many surprises, flips, twists and turns. Lauren and the reader are both uncertain about alliances and loyalty. She can trust no one and neither can the reader.
This thriller hooked me on page one and I read almost non stop to the end. I could feel Lauren's fear, which is a testament to the skill of the storytellers. This wild ride will keep readers on edge right up to the very last page.
I highly recommend this book to readers who love thrillers.

I think we can guess which writer is doing the lion's share of the writing on that team.
