Neighbors want an elderly assisted-living house shut down. Please! Speak Up for Elderly Rights!
Would you tell the elderly to go elsewhere due to an ambulance in a subdivision? It irritates me more for anyone to complain about an ambulance call for residential housing. What if this was you? Do you think people would complain? No. If this was your mother or father, would you complain? No. Why complain about the elderly? They deserve respect too! Speak up for elderly rights HERE: http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=119197 ... Just leave your comments and how you feel about this matter.
Why is the USA now becoming an all-controlling nation? What happened to our constitution and rights as an American? What happened to freedom?

This man fought in World War II and thus earned his right to be able to live out his days at his home, and he pointed out that if the spot where his home was, happened to be needed for a Hospital or a School or a needed Road, he would have no problem giving up his House for those things as he is willing to put the needs of Children and sick people ahead of his own needs in spite of his age and so forth.
But giving up his home for a shopping center, yeah I was like sheesh gimme a break, shopping centers are nice and all but why the heck didn't the developers think of other spots to build one instead of trying to seize that one guys house.
I remember in 1989 when my Parents and I were in the driveway of this one party store that was on the corner of our street and the main road and a man who was I think about 75 years old or something had fallen down, and my Parents got out of the car and they helped him get up off the ground (he would have died for sure had my Parents not helped him).
This man did drive but his car would not start so this one lady who lived in his neighborhood wound up driving him up that way instead, turned out he had forgotten his wallet as well and he wound up counting up the Dimes he had and he was gonna just buy Wine with the Dimes he had instead of also getting a Sandwich as he had planned, but then my Parents were like, hey he needs to eat something so they chipped in on Sandwich and other food for him, and the cashier asked my Parents if that man was their Father or Uncle or something and my Parents said "he's not even related to us at all." and the cashier could not understand why my Parents were even helping this guy out when he was no relation to us at all (well no relation as far as we know).
That incident did teach me a lesson for sure, and yeah it is horrific how there are people who complain about ambulence to elderly assisted living homes.
My Dad served as a Firefighter for years and he use to sometimes go to places where elederly people lived since the Fire Department also does Medical type calls as well (his old Elemetary School got turned into a nursing home believe it or not).
My Dad was once on a call for his old Kindergarten teacher and she had passed away too, and I remember my Dad describing this after having returned from the call, I don't know if she lived in a nursing home herself but the lady was pretty old for sure.
I did before get to work in Nursing Homes not as paid jobs but for job training through the School system, and I noticed there were a lot of elderly people that needed help with a lot of things, and I would be upset if those nursing homes were shut down all because some people don't want to hear Ambulances.

I hope that the ones that are bothered by the noise will someday realise that they too maybe be in the same sitsuation.

I think it is very sad that people are fighting against this home rather than trying to help it.
This couple is doing a great thing for these elderly, and I just hope that they are able to get the right permits, and licenses to be able to continue what they have started in these homes.
This is such a travesty. The elderly deserve all the respect in the world. What this man is trying to do is give these people a little respect and a nice place to live in their final years. The government needs to stop stonewalling their efforts to try to get all up to code. These neighbors are rich, stuck-up jerks who are only thinking of themselves. An ambulance can be heard in any neighborhood for any number of reasons. I live in an upper scale neighborhood and we have ambulances that arrive in our neighborhood upon occasion too. I don't automatically presume that it must be an elderly resident in my neighborhood. That's just ludicrous. These neighbors need to learn compassion and neighborly love. These homes are an excellent place and alternative to the state run facilities that are out there today. I applaud the owners for their efforts and ask that they continue their efforts to make this a continued reality for these seniors. Neighbors, get a life. Government, get with it and stop blocking these people and do what's right!!!
